- On 16 September 2021, the Foreign Ministers of the Russian Federation, the People's Republic of China, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran met on the margins of the SCO and CSTO summits in Dushanbe to discuss the situation in Afghanistan.
